Like so many, my interest in photography began when I was young and has continued on and off again for my entire life. Unlike most, I am old enough and fortunate enough to have logged my fair share of time in B&W darkrooms which has definitely shaped my perspective.

In my day job I work as a software engineer and was lucky enough to land a job working on the first version of iPhoto for Mac. I went on to lead this team as well as the Aperture team. While at Apple I worked directly with Steve Jobs as well as some truly remarkable people. Regrettably, Apple has shifted their focus on photography so I left and started my own company to create software focused on Photographers.

I started this site to share my photographic journey as well my thoughts on technology, primarily the point where technology and photography meet. I hope you enjoy it.
